I would really like to see magic bags, a la bags of holding. Just a simple 1-square inventory sack that adds 3-4 extra inventory squares to the side, and you can only benefit from one at a time, etc etc. Going on any sort of long romp into dangerous areas requires multiple shop stops in many cases, ...

It would be interesting to add some sort of Heirloom or Legacy mechanic to have a weapon scale with your levels, in a similar way that you have that weapon broken down. Or some sort of upgrade mechanic, with intensive crafting and gold. It would just have to cost sheets of gold for the offline game.

Amen to those mana and health potions, but definitely carry those firebows to -1.1 or 2.-1, as they sell for about 31k in those towns, about 10k more than the others.

Running back and forth reminds me of my space trading games, or Settlers of Catan.
