The Obsydian Devil pictured there is actually a mutant Blue Devil.
Just like how when fighting skeletons you get all the rainbow colours.
This devil is a Blue Devil with slightly higher stats.
It's possible that these are already on that map on the way to the weisstein.

I can say, that the new traitor mobs are kinda over-nerfed. Another suggested change was to possibly limit their spawns per player... but that didn't seem right either I guess. Players would have found a way to use that. The best solution IMO would have been, to keep the same mobs at the Traitor NPC...
