You do not need to wear the miner¿s helmet, just have it in your pack. Still uses a slot like the two torches, but you maintain the protection of your regular helmet. And reading back a few posts, I agree that pets should have a light glow to them, at least equal to that of any character in the game that has no "light enhancement" feature!

@ Blackbetty I prefer the light from the Magic Torch to the Miners Helmet. But I guess it is a matter of "eyesight" and or choice. And yes, I must admit, as I am sure everyone would, the Miner's Helmet is "brighter". Maybe that is why I prefer the Magic Torch. A nice subdued light and in a cave/land...
