if you're running the editor, there's something you can run caller "edit units" or something similar to that - it'll give you the stats for everything in the game (though you'll need to scroll through them all - I recommend sorting them by level) anyway, get the info you need and update an old copy of monsters list... share it with everybody on the forum and accept the "thank you's" ;)

Right: Edit ENEMY_UNIT has the information, but I have no idea how to extract that to a text file - or what file it is reading.
→ Factors Editor Table: Show
Factors_Editor_Table.jpg
And there is one file that is not a text file in the lists:

Code: Select all

/data/FTales/ZIPS/editor/assets/known_entities_list
or it's in a format my text editor can not read, all other ".list" files I can read.

Where is an OLD copy of a monsters list?
Sounds like a nice project.

I've not checked the download in a few months, but the date stated hasn't changed.
In 10 days (FT time), it'll have been a full year since the editor was updated.
Much has changed in that time.
Many of the files are useful for things other than map editing, as well.
May we have an update soon please?

It's funny. I was just talking with some friends about making some new maps and monsters, but we can't tie them in with current ones due to editor not being updated.

Сompbatant updates the editor regularly.
Download it and check the dates inside the archive.
The last update was on 31 july 2018. After that, there was no content that could be added to the editor.

The last time I did check it, was before that date... but it hadn't been updated in some time at that time.
I'll download it again and give it a look.
Ok, I'll cuss - I "assumed" (that's a cuss) that the date posted here was the true date of last update.

EDIT:
Ok, it looks like the date of July 31st is indeed the date updated.
There is one slight issue though
in assets/textures/buildings/ there are two files named mageshop in the archive - although one is named MageShop rather than mageshop
windows doesn't like that, but whatever

just a reminder to anybody interested in developing new content - be certain to check about anything currently in development before you start numbering your maps quests, etc..... going through and renumbering is no fun lol

Is the current version of the editor compatible with FT7, or will a new release be necessary?
Have new monsters, maps, etc. been added to editor yet?
I love trying to design with the editor, but if it isn't compatible or current, I may have to wait until updated to continue...
