If I may... I'd like to see this thread become a tribute to DOOM!

I read some, I see some stuff in the game and well, tell me about DOOM.

Share your memories of him. Let us newer players learn of an FT Legend.

Thanks, already there are some nice tributes, and while this is Off-topic, let's keep it about DOOM.

This has really affected me. It shows how a game and the players are actually our game and us players. It's all much more than that.

Here's a post Doom made. Forget the GM bit - it's the 'not influenced by Doom' part.

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13668&p=78646&hilit=Doom#p78646

Doom influenced me more than he will ever know. I know what he was getting at. I don't react instantly and decisively as him. I don't lead people like he did. In some ways I am the opposite to him, but then I think that's why we got on. We met In game around Aug/Sept 2013 and basically I liked his spawn spot at sapph dragons. Rather than wipe me out, we got chatting and became friends. We spoke about RL stuff and I'd never had that in FT. He then asked me to join DR and that made me. I owe him so much.

Rest in peace, old friend. Made a lot of memories playing the game with you. Always had a fun time. DOOM helped make FT what it became.

Very sad to hear. Doom " raised me" when I was a beginner.

It's sad to see such a loved player succumb to cancer :( He'll be missed by many, and I apologise for your loss Cleo, and finally, may he rest in peace  DOOMSDAY IS NEAR
For the sake of rememberance, here's a photo of DOOM dressed up as a Magier from an old halloween competition thread. Image

However well intended, the fact checking before reporting such news was horrendous.
