CONGRATULATIONS!

I know many of you affected are upset by the new Level Formula update and the resulting loss of levels, but I still feel congratulations are in order.
I have edited this post (slightly) to account for some clarification on how the level-rework formula actually worked, but still the point behind it applies.
Since the actual total XP was taken into account there was no time/experience lost at all. This was simply a fix that had been asked to be implemented for the past several years.
It might seem like a total stripping of levels, but actually you were given the absolute highest possible level you could be if you had spent these past few years NOT abusing a known error to gain insanely fast levels.
All of your "purchased" levels were applied at the end of your account regardless of when they were applied or who actually bought them. Meaning levels bought at lower levels (potentially only worth millions of XP each when using to "jump" ahead to the fast grinding lvls) were now being applied at the very end of ALL of your XP earned, making them worth BILLIONS of XP each.
The only reason people seemed to not lose any levels is because they had not spent 3377 levels' worth of time grinding to have their current XP adjusted. It's not their fault they spent more money than you, this entire game is PtW you can't even get ahead without pets and someone has to pay real $ for them so why is it surprising those that paid money will win?
You're all still way above the average player both in level and time invested into the game. There was a fix that had been asked to be worked on for years finally done. It's not the developer's fault some players "assumed" they would be able to keep levels based on a flawed XP system. Levels are not the same as XP
You all kept your current XP / time spent grinding, it was just implemented into the New Level System and since they couldn't tell when bought levels were applied, they just added everybody's at the end equally.
So yeah, congratulations on all the free BILLIONS of XP acquired by simply "moving" when your bought levels were applied to your account. I'm kinda jelly meow.
