The "unlimited mana" i dont think was even considered.
I do believe that 5 per sec will lower the amount needed. Thus lowering the level at which it happens. And then making mages even more op at earlier levels. Regen rate should have been slowed to compensate.
That will kill lower level mages won't it?

If such a regen nerf were to start at a higher level, THEN it would be balanced.
