I think you are right. The market seems to change a bit with every game change. For instance when the quests under king's garden first opened up there was a high demand for crafted items. I saw some 75 plate sell during that time for high amounts and anyone who had 250+0 plates could make 750m gold! Some quests still take +0 crafted items but right now opportunities are less for the crafter.
