fireworks?

i got a firework while i was fishing.
was it for a past event or something like that?
what can i do with it beside keeping it as a souvenir

The fireworks were introduced to ft to celebrate the new year. They have no practical purpose whatsoever, but look great when you set them off!
Keep it as a souvenir if you like, but it isn't a quest item or anything like that.
