HHMM, [DR] /[LINK] WARS. STAYED UP 6 DAYS 10 HOURS. WORKED 40+ HOURS INBETWEEN.
COFFEE, WORK, CELL PHONE CHARGER. [DR] ANK WENT WASN'T WORKING.
HARD TO BE [DR] UNK 6 DAYS IN A ROW NO SLEEP.
WOKE UP NEXT DAY. [LINK] DESTROYED ENTIRE LANDSCAPE OF [DR]. MAGIX WAS LVL 300, DOOM WAS 180. DID NOT CARE.
GOT WHOOPED FOR 6 DAYS THEN WOKE UP TO HAVING TO REBUILD EVERTYTHING.
THAT PHONE WENT FLYINGINTO PIECES AGAINST CONCRETE.
MADE IT DOOMSDAY'S PERSONAL GOAL MERK [LINK].
SO, IT WAS A LONG TIME PLAYING WITHOUT SLEEPING.

I can't get anywhere close to playing that long..though I have had a few 40+ hours a week playing. What I'd like to ask is who binged online or remotely the earliest in gaming history?

Here's my story. The earliest binging remotely was the summer and fall of 1982! My best friend worked for Bell Labs on voice recognition and could work at home via dial up to the main frame computer at work. So I binged playing Rogue and a little of Super Rogue at his house on a company computer terminal with a delightful monochrome monitor. :D Great memories!

A more diverse game that is in the spirit of Rogue is NetHack for the PC.
