FT v8+ and Win 7

Post by LostKnight »

Is Forgotten Tales compatible with Windows 7 ?

A friend has Win7 and the link at Download Links does nothing.

Zip and 7-Zip are installed on Win7 but it does not open it.

Thoughts?

Have not even looked at the java version yet but this is about downloading or opening the file.

Downloading a file (ft8.zip) should be compatible with any computer or phone. Unless he's using antivirus or other software that blocks zip files. Even then, he should see the file in his browser downlads. He could, alternatively, right click it and do a "Save As" to know where it will go.

The friend is clicking the PC version link, not just the forum link, right?

@ justj99

Does not happen, the link simply turns orange, I've see screenshots

When I click on it I get the standard "Open" or "Save" dialogue:

DUH!!! I should have thought of that as well. So simple maybe that will work.
