The Cost of Quests

Post by SellSword »

So you want to complete quests in FT? Perhaps you have an idle curiosity about what all is needed to do so? Or maybe you're just reading this because it's a new forum post? Hey, I'll take what I can get!

Below is a "comprehensive" list of what gold and items are needed to complete quests in FT. (This is for all maps released as of today. I probably won't update this with new maps.)

Hold on, this is ridiculously impossible to actually determine, right? Of course! You can complete the daily mage quests multiple times, there's no way of telling how many tries it will take to open HGM resource rooms, and who knows how many trips across bridges that require payment will be needed. Oh, add in the fact that maybe you don't want to bother unlocking some portals, maybe you don't want to get some optional pets, and who knows how many other daily quests there are...

I get it... It really is impossible to have a truly comprehensive list because it's incredibly subjective. Work with me, ok? Here are a few assumptions:

-All quests are completed
-All areas are opened and all optional portals are activated (e.g., 500m gold paid to open portal to devil island castle, etc.)
-HGM resource rooms and shortcut to Ardesia opened with just one tool (realistically probably a few more mithril tools needed, but so it goes!)
-Optional ptery pet obtained
-2 optional evil bat pets obtained
-2 optional doom bat pets obtained
-7 trips made across the bridge that requires 20k hp potions (a reasonable number)
-5 trips made across the bridge that requires 10m gold (a reasonable number)
-All daily quests that require providing an item are completed just one time (a huge variable here of course) and just 10 rare fish given to the hungry ogre (why not go 10?)
-Some quests require different items or numbers of items depending on your level or what choice was made in a previous quest so some variations are at the very bottom
-No gold or items used on 2k altar quest are factored in here.

For the gold number below that is JUST what you need to pay for quests. Purchasing needed items from a store or other players is NOT included here. That's another huge variable of course as some items may cost a few hundred million gold or even in the billions to purchase. Just getting all of the extra mana and extra hp potions from the shop that sells them comes close to 2b gold when it is all added up. Some things can be obtained for free by crafting, fished, given as gifts, or even obtained in chests or from quests. Lots of variables, but that's why the items are listed and not just the gold to purchase them. Realistically you'd probably at least double the gold number below.

How did you do that????
Ahahahhahh
It is a beautiful list !!!!

Bravo sellsword. I have no idea how you did it, but it seems like a complete list, and very difficult to obtain.

Maybe 9b seems few to me, if I think about portals, devils, etc. etc. I thought I spent a lot more.

Thank's for your job. Always amazing.

AMAZING --- Simply amazing.

Thank You for the list SellSword

Although I remember 14 bridge crossings that cost +20000 HP each.
- and I had to borrow the last one.
- I die a lot, and high level spawners didn't help :)
- I should be KnightWhoDiesALot (KWDAL for short!)

EDIT: But here is where I won:
- HGM resource rooms: 1 tool, 2 tools, 1 tool

shortcut to Ardesia
- Opened for 3 characters used a total of 4 tools.
I am always AFK!
I am LK, A Friendly Knight.

Nice list, and just the tip of the iceberg if you take into account some item upgrade quests, repeats, etc. Wow! And thanks!

Think of all the stuff on there that people buy as well. A good 3b to buy the mithril tools at 150m each, another 2b getting the potions from the store at 50 each, etc, etc.

And as people have mentioned this is on the low end. I don't have a count but I know a few extra mith tools and who knows how many repeats on daily quests.

Amazing...just amazing. :o

And that's for one account! For some of us who have lots of time or a short attention span multiple accounts can add up to who knows how much. I've sent 5 accounts for instance through Hobbs mine and the miners quest! This doesn't take into account the gold and items beyond our own quests we may have shared with friends to finish their quests. ;)

Never i buy tools+3.
For Hobbs mine i craft for me, alone, all necessary tools.
I saved money.
