Why does this game reward negative behaviour?

Post by RyoHazuki »

OK.....I'm really really frustrated with this game
because an hours work can be easily taken away
in 30 seconds by someone who kills you....its not
nice being killed anyway as you have to walk
back to where you were just to find the person
waiting to kill you again so losing xp and losing
high price items that take considerably longer
than an hour (sometimes days or even a week)
to grind for is just a kick in the teeth afterwards.
For me to then discover that the person who has
killed me is rewarded with my high price item and
my xp for making my life a misery is beyond a
joke...its seriously frustrating and should in fact
be punished not rewarded.......
These are my suggestions for sorting this horrible
situation out......(and you negative people can
moan all you want).
make PvP a request rather than something you're
forced into without a choice.
perhaps add a karma system into the game as
well
the outlaw system isn't working as it should
because people have.multiple accounts and don't
care about being outlawed.

I, and many others play this game for pvm not PvP and therefore shouldn't have it thrust upon us like this. please do something.

hi David, The pvp system is CONSTANTLY being worked on with new things added almost everyday.
these things take time, please be patient and bare with it.
Also its not the best solution but declanning should save you from a lot of pvp :/
hope this helps, -Azok

no I'm not in a clan as this would be telling everyone that I want PvP.. I definately dont want pvp unless I agree to it.. if I agree and I die all is fair and all is fun.s long as I haven't lost any items...but its usually the stronger characters (within 3 level range) that go round starting the fights. I just think a lot more people whould enjoy it if it was request rather than assault.

I don't think this is necessary because we have a decent PvP restriction of -3/+3 levels.
Implementing PvP requests would destroy a lot of player's gaming experience (imho), as a majority of the community play solely for this aspect of the game. I would suggest either grinding to surpass whatever player that keeps targeting you; so that you have a high enough of an advantage for winning the fight, carrying extra mana potions (if you're a mage) or being loaded up with 1,000 HP potions in the instance someone engages you.

Banging our head against a wall :-(

Post by WEST HAM »

You may as well bang your head against a brick wall this will not happen :-(

I and many others have suggested the PVP request thing many times and have never had any response as to why something that is easy technically isn't implemented.

Thanks Secular for your views but as you are only a trainee mod (no disrespect meant) it would be nice to get a response from someone higher up the ladder.

I hated the PVP thing before the changes that allow attackers to steal my items :-(

where do i get a rare item like a swamp bow or a red hat? i only have 1 of each and need 2 red hats and 3 swamp bows, they are both selling for over 20million and it takes forever to grind that much money.

perhaps i need to use my archers as a kill squad and start ambushing people 1 freeze arrow 2 fire arrows followed by a hell axe to the head wow i got a mithril armour :-) i don't think i would be too popular though

I have just been outlawed for defending myself against a persistent low level attacker that you can no longer ignore due to the fact that you can no longer regen while under attack

Surely outlaw should be reserved for the attacker not the defender?

I have been told before that outlaw is part of the game? if it is an accepted part of the game and not a punishment then why does the mod program questionnaire ask if you have been outlawed and why you where outlawed just below asking if you have been muted?

Being muted is a punishment for having a foul mouth where as if outlaw is part of the game why ask the question? and does this mean you cannot be a mod?

If for some reason the creator doesn't want PVP to be a request thing then make it an on/off thing like the sound or the joystick in settings?

This approach would stop the nates of this world choosing their battles as you have to decide before you log on whether you want to pvp sorry nate love you really :-)

bye for now and happy gaming

p.s. DavidIcke who are you in the game?

Thanks Magix

I thought by staying away from clans i was safe and that was mostly the case until the loss of the regen while being attacked by some opportunist little shit that wants some free items!!

Let them grind and collect robes/fire arrows for days or weeks until they can afford to pay 20 million for the items

i see so many of these posts and i never see anyone defending PVP outside of clan except the 1 post from secular where he says "Implementing PvP requests would destroy a lot of player's gaming experience (imho),"

like Magix says a very low level who you have been helping can wait until your are red then take an opportunist shot at you while you are red and nick your swamp bow.

somebody is protecting PVP outside of clans but is not prepared to admit why?

why don't we vote on it???
