And this is the difficulty we as GMs have in sorting this stuff out.
It's not a clear cut decision in most cases.

This is why the rule is somewhat vague.

i think this rule still allow one to make spam buildings to protect one's building like blue circle
and this rule makes GMs more busy and needs GMs private think to set where one's territory is

how about this

if someone start making tower, castle etc...

one needs more gold than before

ex) tower = 500m
castle = 1b

just my opinion :shock:

Response from DaHobbit: I completely agree. I think clans have way too much gold, and the ability to generate far more than they may ever need. Placing a building should be much more expensive. Though If Compbatant will make all level 0 buildings transparent (or ghost-like) so that players and pets can walk past them, I think it would solve a great deal of this. The building would not actually be solid until it was completely upgraded with the first level.

Yes they had a base and every time a building was put, it was destroyed. APEX and SMRF shared a space. SLXO, Lev and TRIO invaded and spammed builds. It had been reported and all we were told was it was near their base so it's ok??? :evil:
THEY spammed builds in OUR space yet no punishment!! We drop a single one or two in our ALLY'S territory and its spam? Really how is this logical? I find this explanation of the rule very... Unsatisfying you might say. :|
Many times our reports have been ignored or dismissed. But any false report is taken seriously when an enemy makes it. :shock: :|
Just my opinion and addition to this.

It's so funny. We have been working our butts off to try get back our clan map. We have been on 24/7 mostly. Literally all they where doing was start a building and then spam around it so we couldn't siege it. Everytime we destroyed a spam building they put it bacn again. How do we have a chance?? It's bull that GMs havent responded us on fb most of our reports has been ignored. When we need a GM there is none that can come but when the enemy clan neess a GM or makes a report GMs actually do something. Its not fair and im speaking for everyone not just me. Now when we have lost our clan map, when they have cheated sh*t out of it. Now you guys say its against the rules. Thats just bull. Alot of people i know quit the game because if this. And im about to. :cry:

The exact same thing I mentioned in the other thread.
*sigh*

The game is in a constant state of development - it changes.
It's only logical, that the rules follow the same pattern.

When this tactic was first used - no, it was not considered against the rules.
The GMs were powerless.

But your above statements are incorrect - that the GM ignored you and did nothing - and this thread is proof of it.
Because of the very situations you describe, this rule is developing - has been developing.
If it were not for your constant reports, this thread would not exist.

If you're complaining about timing... well, like so much in this game, nothing happens fast enough for the players.
You just sit back, and think your issue is most important, and should be handled immediately.
In a perfect world, yes it would be.

But let's state facts:
We have more players now than ever.
We have more rule breakers now than ever.
We have fewer active GMs now than ever.

This issue was only one - of many - going on at once.
DaHobbit was constantly busy with scammers, for example.

Just so the newer players know - the game has taken over 4 years to get to this point.
If I had a dollar for every single time a player made such statements as above, like "this will end FT", or "everyone will quit"....

The game changes - a lot. Rules change too.
We do the best we can, with the tools and guidelines we have.
You can either applaud us for our efforts, or you can condemn us for every little slight you think we've given you.

But let me tell you a little secret: 90% of GM work, is not public.
This week alone, I've spent countless hours going over logs - looking for abusers like you're complaining about above. And I don't even do server checks!
If you had any idea what we were working on now... if I could tell you...

Forget it. For most, it would likely not change a single thing.
The game is what it is. It's a work in progress.
Either you can help, or not, your choice.

Anyway, thanks for your reports - hopefully, this will make the future better for FT players.

I m sure there is a good reason to set this rule.but i m still missing it and i see that discussion is turning into the usual arguing about single cases, loosing the original.point of view. I d like to understand, and that everybody can do it

Response from DaHobbit: The reason is simple. There were more and more complaints about spamming buildings. The GM team really needed to do something about it, but without something in writing, it is hard for each individual GM to police the matter the same was as the other GM. Therefore, we create rules - based upon discussions in GM chat. Additionally, it is better for the players to know what we are policing so that everyone is on the same page.
