Nostalgia

I miss the days where players posted back and forth trash talking and bragging about their various clan victories and conquests.

Now they just post in mini chat where although that makes for interesting reading, it does not have the same permanent effect.

If you want to see an example of what I'm talking about, go to the very first page in clan topic and just start reading.

You may find that before you realize it that you have read through several pages worth of posts.

That was the original purpose of the Clans forum.
It's similar to off topic, but just for clans.
It's not as strict as the official sub forums of say Help Wanted or Bugs.

And yes, if you go back, you'll find many a great story to read.
Sure, I didn't participate in clan stuff, but it was fun to read things about it.

It is as it always has been.
The game, and the forum.
They depend entirely on the community.

if clan section was used for propaganda ( which doesnt have to be true) it follows that accusations/bug reports etc arent taken too seriously.

yeah i know. im slow. only took.me 5years to realise lol.
guess where i posted.

Hehe agreed ;)

But, "fancy" attracts more. And the idea is to get people here.

You and I both know, it's not the quality of the tool, it's how it's used by the person using it.
We could get by with a much less fancy forum, easily.
But, for the kids with short attention spans... we need something pretty.

If ever the forum is upgraded to include flashing lights and high end graphics, I'll quit though
