Not sure if this forum is still active or not, but if it is, would appreciate some help

Am at the library , but does not seem to be anyone there to talk to just enemies . Have got two of the books (library . Black Knights) but no idea where to go next. Is there another quest I need to complete first ?

Also maybe this is off topic and I should post in bugs, but when I got to map 2.3, at a certain part of the map, the game crashes with the message "Forgotten Takes has stopped"

Is this a known bug and will it stop me progressing in the game. I am playing it on a kindle fire, and when I look at the app store the last update to the game I can see is 2015

Any help/advice greatly appreciated

I also awhile back got the message the FT app had stopped working. For me the problem was I was I hadn't updated and missed two updates. I think if you cannot update your device to the newest version there are some things you cannot do and may shut down the app.

The third book is on map 1.0. There are some stairs roughly in the middle of the map and a book is in that dungeon.

The 3rd book you are missing is in the cave just south of the Kings Summer Residence (Map 1.0). It is in the room with 2 chests and a "bookcase". One chest has Fire Gloves the other the Dungeon Key - do not lose that key it is a hard drop from the dwarves that guard the dungeon entrance deeper in the cave if you do. Save that for later.

Are you playing the "Offline" game? It will not be updated anymore.
And the age of your Kindle Fire might be an issue as well.
