why would yellow spell hit all enemies?

Yes

From that picture, it looks like it only hit one enemy and that the other damage was caused by your party.
(but i wasn't there) you can remember more then i can see from one frame.

just started rpg.. so question..
i dont have mage....
crew lvl 20 w rasa...

if mage spells in MAGIG ITEMS icon, what is sheild icon for?

my only guess is skills?

The shield icon selects all members of your party. When a party member is selected, you will see an oval shadow beneath the member. When you move your party, only the selected member or members will move.

despite bad graphics, u can still see that one enemy attacked by ogre and another behind Queen Rosa is under the effect of yellow spell. That means more than one enemy subject to the spell.
