The level 50 staff does not exist in RPG. There is a level 50 club in the death dungeons under the houses, but you need to be at least level 175 to get there, so it is kind of useless. You need to be at least level 150 to enter the mage tower.

I would recommend going after the pink mages for a diamond staff (0.1% drop) and the club stans for a mithril club drop (also 0.1%). By the time you get both, you should be close to level 150 and able to enter the mage tower.

Alternately, since you are level 125, you can try to get the materials together for a spectre staff. You need 10 mushy bones (1% drop from southern mushymen) and 1 spectre dust (0.1% drop from spectre wizards).

To get to the spectre wizards, you need to go through the teleporter labyrinth. You enter it below where you talked to the creepy guy about the book, at the bottom of map 0.-3. The key is to go to the teleporters in the following order: up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right. This will take you to where you can enter the Dungeon of Doom, which is where the spectre wizards are. Careful, though -- they can cause a lot of damage quickly.
