The biggest thing in this update - Multiple Item Trading!!!
A brief video demonstrating it is available on the official DM Game Studio Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdcWmeUaVSY (added link per compbatant's request)
If there is enough demand, more videos could be made.
So, let's have a brief look and description of how it works:
- What it looks like: Show
- Description 1: Show
2. Your pack switch
3. Your gold you have in your pack
4. Your offer gold button
- Description 2: Show
6. Items you are offering appear here
7. How much gold the other player is offering (next to their name)
8. Items the other player is offering
9. Your accept trade button ******
10. Other player's acceptance of current trade
The biggest change here to know - you cannot ask a price in the trading window. The gold button gives gold, it does not ask a price.
Some basic tips:
When the trade window pops up - check the player name you're trading with first. Make sure you're not giving to the wrong player!
Most importantly - DO NOT HIT YOUR CHECKMARK UNTIL YOU ARE OK WITH THE ITEMS IN THE TRADE. Any changes in the trade should uncheck the checkmark; however, if you put items up for offer, then hit the checkmark, the other player could get them for free, so beware. Make sure you're fine with their offer before you hit that checkmark!!
Each player is limited to five types of items per trade... however, items will stack, so you can trade multiples of the same item
Keep in mind your pack space - if you get more items in a trade than you can hold, they'll appear as drops.
Also, this trade mechanism will only be available between clients of this version and up - trading with someone with an older client will use the older trade mechanism. Both mechanisms start the same way - select a player, offer to trade, and they select the envelope to see the trade.
EDIT: forgot a couple of things
You can hit the back button at any time to cancel a trade. If you're unsure of the trade, hit the back button
Also, if you enter the wrong gold amount, just select the "offer gold" button and enter the correct gold amount. The new amount should become the current one. It should not add to it. i.e. First you type in 5m, then you type in 10m, the amount should be 10m, not 15m.
Alright, hope I didn't forget anything.. there may be some more stuff coming too, but so far I'm only sure of this feature.
As usual, be prompt in reporting bugs - we tested a lot, but it's not easy.
