Brought this up long ago. Even got mocked at for
the idea :-| ....
But now that the skins cost $11, more people will agree to the thought.
+1

Let me fix that for you:

... and scammers are making a killing with the broken trade system.

But..

I would be happier if we could store the activated skins in House... just like we store pets at House

This would allow players to purchase multiple skins and change skin whenever they want..

It hurts to think that only way to get a new skin is by losing the present skin completely.
It will affect revenue so for that reason is unlikely to happen.

If someone buys, say, 3 skins for $33 then he/she will rotate them and not spend any more.

I do like your idea but the finances won't stack up in my opinion.

Maybe if the skins were only able to be equipped X amount of times and when that amount is met the skin degrades and is lost and must be rebought and hence the circle restarts with said skin once its purchased and applied to the account

I think you are right, but one can store pets so why not skins?

Yes, $ runs "everything"

I must say, personally, I'm sad that it came to this point.
Making premium skins as purchases....
I'm also sad to say that it was my lengthy suggestion post and arguments (which cannot be seen here) that helped convince the others and push it along.

It was the best solution for all the problems with special skins.

Some skins were left out on purpose, from the list.
The idea was, that skins now come in four classes:

Starting (also falls under purchased)
Purchased
Premium (a more expensive purchase)
Special (GM awarded only, unique)

The proposition for a wardrobe where you could store a limited number of skins (and possibly expand that said storage) was also proposed - but isn't viable at this time.
In the future, who knows.... was money a deciding factor? Possibly, but I was never included in financial discussions, save the odd speculation one.

For those of you complaining about pricing, I'm quite sure the price could have been set far higher, and still sell well. I think the price, if anything, is more than reasonable tbh.

....

P.S.
The whole devil skin thing of mine - I never wanted it.
I only put it on (and endured the backlash that came with it) to help push this very idea.
As soon as the idea was fully approved, I took it off without hesitation.
At that time, wearing a special skin seemed more like a punishment anyway.
...And the plan worked. Skins are now back, and IF there is ever reason, exclusive skins are still listed for "the team" to give out....

Under a backstage point of view, at least GMs are not constantly bombarded with "gimme skin plzzz" messages anymore :)

Thank you MadMagus and vasinta for your posts.

Very much appreciated, and vasinta, you certainly do have an excellent point there.

I may purchase a "regular" skin after 750, my last, and become a proper knight of that land, but maybe not.
Quite liking the Viking Knight. Where is is written that a Viking can't be a Champion Knight for the clan [GM]?

Scammers beware the Coup de grâce of my misericorde!
