I just would get bored and not play anymore if I could only play / tap once every couple of minutes on a single account. Let alone not be able to talk to people like I do at spawn.
I think this is an amazing quote. The GM teams have to balance between having a fun game, and having a fair game. These two ideas will clash with one another. I find it near impossible to have both present 100% for this particular case. Some AFK is literally needed, or no one would grind> No more lvling> Stagnant game. But perhaps this is just my opinion

Well, going back to the rules some AFK is identified as not being an issue, to paraphrase.

This is where a new topic would probly need started, but a group chat would make chatting while grinding possible. The ability to start a group(with ability to set a number of members like 2 - 50 ppl) and label it(example ..Items For Sale, random chat) and allowing to invite or ppl just tap to join conversation would be nice

Yup humans dont run by clicking 2 buttons per minute. THEY NEED TO ADD GROUP GRINDING BENEFITS INTO THE GAME IF THEY REALLY WANT TO DECREASE AFK.

Party grinding is different from what I was talking about, I'm just referring to group chats.. party grinding would require a breakdown of exp divided by members in group. But it would be nice since it is a multiplayer game. It would allow for more(maybe even better) socialism in the game. But then would PVP in groups be allowed ? Like a 5v5 battle ? Food for thought

Yup (btw keep to other post so GM's have better chance of reading all our thoughts, make that suggestion to, we gotta make ourselves a voice if we feel game needs a change for the better!)

Checking messages or sorting through inventory or shopping for items is NOT afk and will not get you into trouble with the new update and is NOT anywhere near the ballpark of playing multiple devices so not the same thing.

You cant leave the map during pvp, so the same solution could be useful to prevent the message in pvp situation

Im not sure i like the premise that someone who plays on multiple devices is cheating. Thats how i interpret where this is heading.

I sometimes play 2 characters at the same time and maybe on rare occasions 3 characters (when I can find my daughter's tablet). Not often but still.

My main character is grinding. The other one or two mining. If something crops up, for example my main is attacked PvP, or i over spawn, i I log off the other two.

There is nothing written in the rules to say I can't do this. I speak to other players and GMs - no problem.

Having said this, I've not tried it with the new 'are you there?' system. If it's a problem, I'll rethink.

IMHO it's a smoke screen.

bluestacks by Gandalf » Wed 23 Oct, 2013 @ 02:21 now since Gandalf is an Admin here and MadMike explained in the very next post how to setup some keys to work with it, and "bluestacks" allows multiple instances of the game to run. Compbatant, the Admin team and GM's know that people can and are running multiple instances since "at least" that post. Close to 6 years now.

I've made NO SECRET that I have three tablets, and run multiple characters at the same time. And not long ago I asked if logging LK on to help an alt in trouble with a player coming along and over spawning what my alt could handle because "he had $$ Pets" I was told, "No not against the rules. Good move.", by a GM. Nuff said.

Check the rules, no mention of running multiple accounts either for or against. Simply because it is allowed.

I ran a test ... Two players on different maps. One got the "Are you there?" message, the other didn't. I checked the time HH:29. OK, so that character continued playing. Next time the "Are you there?" message popped up is was not on the 29 minute mark. GOOD! random timings AND the green check mark was in a different position.

I do not know about the new FT Win app or the iOS app but the Linux version allows for multiple instances of the game to be run. I would think if it was NOT allowed that ability would be disabled.

Running more than one character is and has been allowed since as far back as Wed 23 Oct, 2013.
