That's not want SS said at all. It was a "Note" or a "Warning" if you will, that it cannot be done.

And I disagree with the idea of SWAPPING pets.

It is storage, for people that do not have a house:
- so you can quest without fear of losing pets
- so you can grind without fear of losing pets
- store one or both pets if you need to do a quest that requires picking up a follower (cave guy, princess, 3 kings.

Swapping pets comes with houses.

This is correct. If anyone wants to stock pets the should not activate the purchaseable pet item. They can stock those in the bank or tavern. The pet storage as I and multiple others have stated for keeping your expensive pets alive and safe while you do a quest or go to dangerous locations. It's a 2 slot storage so if you have 2 pets in storage and 2 pets following you it will not be possible to swap.
What we added here is something players have wished to have for years. So what we have now is much better than what we didn't have 3 days ago. Learn it, Live it, Love it...
