With the new GM regime in place, are they willing to facilitate trades as middleman?

Would be nice if GM's created a few accounts, various levels etc, without the [_GM] and hung out at Map 0.0 not even telling trusted people who they are. Do business with these guys in person and then JAIL all accounts that person has.

They are destroying the game in a big way!
This is a really cool idea but totally depends on GMs time.

Agreed mak. This alone will take up a fair proportion of a GM's valuable time, but it is better than nothing. Also, it will be interesting to see if the number of trades decrease when a gm gets involved. I suspect that even the most ruthless scammer would not attempt to scam a gm!

In any case, until a better system is adopted we have to work within the boundaries of this one.

Actually no more time or effort of a GM than it does currently.
They are not there all day, every day now, just on occasion and when they can.
Only now the GM has an option to log [GM]RealName or "gm-spy".

If "various gm-spys" were created they could sit there "exactly" the same a [GM]Name does now, at random times when they can/want. Catching scammers, trade spammers, bridge blockers, etc. because they "feel safe", they don't see a GM.

If "Bob(15)", the fishing ogre and unknown gm-spy, sees a bridge blocker, or is scammed, or some bad language, he logs [GM]Real One, deals with problem and then logs one of them off or not. :D

This takes:
  1. - no extra programming
  2. - no more time required of a GM than it does currently and
    • has the potential of catching a LOT of scammers, spam traders, bridge blockers, language abusers, etc.
Let's face it, being caught red handed by a GM means: You've been Busted!
Report Investigation Time consists of: Go to jail, directly to jail! Do not pass go, do not collect $200!

Not to take the Gamemaster Apprenticeship Program off topic in which Leone made his post

I'd join that list in a minute if the GM team would have me.

Maybe change the "Trusted Players" name colour: TrustedPlayer

And I'll add a Thank You to witch and ryaca for adding to their duties.

I remember that Hobbs used to update the scammer list when scammers were punished. Has that practice stopped? I noticed that no new updates to the list have happened in a long time.
