I haven't been there yet, so grain of salt and all that...

If you've gotten the magical artifact and talked with Proditor, I believe that opens up lv250 quests. Talk to the kid you gave the book to (or didn't) on 0, -3 and then see Proditor again to kick off some other quests.

there are two different conversations going here...

The lost son quest is part of the "Hero" storyline (NELROGG, Proditor, Dungeon of Doom, Volcanic Islands and all that)

the lost boy is a new quest in Ardesia City
