I never got into PvP myself, and I always appreciated that PvP seemed to stay away from me with a few exceptions. Not being in a clan helps, I suppose, but whatever it is/was I'm glad for it!

To this day I have no choice but to be against capping levels as well, I was saying that it should have been done a long time ago IMO when level buying came along. There's alot of players that has plenty of money to spend but then again there is alot more that cant afford to purchase 1 pet much less a thousand levels. Yes a good alternative is to remain clanless you can still help your friends in alot of ways but it's also a matter of preference in this case. Some prefer the layed back lifestyle which then they can be friends with anyone they want. Even I went down this road once and I enjoyed it more than the one I'm on today. But some players rather join friends in construction and destruction or helping in risky battles. Like I said back in the day balancing classes was a big burden. And now that only matters if your in PvP with someone equivalent to your level. But yes as you said the best way to enjoy the game is to stay out of a clan.

I miss all of the retired GMs too. They were all great and I was sad to see them go.

We do still have GMs in the game though. You can see all of the GMs in the link below.

Hi meri, it's nice to hear from you.

I cannot speak in name of others former GMs, of course.
As far as I am concerned, my main reason for leaving has been the fact that I was going to move into another city and I was not going to have time for GM stuff anymore.

It was not the only reason.
There were also a few points in how the game is run that I was (and I am) not happy about.
I made sincere attempts of speaking about that with Compbatant, who I suppose has other views on how to conduct a multiplayer game.
He has been informed with several weeks of advance, despite Ryaca's opinion of my leave being sudden and not-announced.
Anyone being part of the current staff can read my "leave document", were my main game-related reasons are detailed. Other ones, I think should better not know.

I am not going to return in the staff, and I am not even playing the game anymore.
I just read forum from time to time, because of a few persons I still feel close to, and because FT is IMO a very interesting case study on consequences of certain owner's decisions.

Keep your smile bright and happy as it has been in the past, Meri I'm sure you can play and have fun in FT despite scammers
