Forgotten Tales

So I started the various tasks to gain entrance to the House of Houses & was slowly completing them. And I've noticed that the Fire Archer isn't accepting any swamp bow from me. It strikes me as unusual, as the other quest NPCs seemed to activate when carrying their desired item to gain their trust. Am I something missing here or is this a bug or some kind?

if memory serves, he needs a diamond bow - if that's not it, reply back

You have already talked to this rebel before and he gave you a quest
"Bring a Swamp Bow to the Fire Archer rebel to gain his trust".
You brought a bow to him and he does not accept it. Right?

or

You can’t talk to him and he didn’t give you a task to bring him a bow.

Actually, turns out I was handing it in to the wrong NPC. I visited the real Fire Archer in Blitzbee dungeon & the Swamp bow was accepted .

this quest has been a troubling time for many a player.

Yea, and for someone's forgetter that is getting better, even worse!
