Find the missing parts quest

Post by OC Dawgs »

Can anyone give me a detailed walkthrough on how to complete this quest?

Coz I've been searching in the forum and I can't find any relevant posts regarding to it. Thanks

First you get the quest at the orcs (south part of 4.0), the sentry asks for a fragarach sword. Take it to him, he will send you to the humans (north) to get the missing part. The human side sends you to check on the outpost (upper right). The guard there will send you back to get supplies. As there is a shortage of manpower you will have to gather 5brown wolf meat and 20 rare fish, take those to the outpost. After you are done with this you can go back to the humans, who will send you to recover the missing part from a cave (around middle of that map, a bit left). This cave has an entry level of 150 (dont know the rest as im still lv112). (Spoiler didnt work/dont know how to use it correctly)

I didnt see the forest because of a tree.

Here is a good thread on when you get into that cave commonly called the "west cave."

It is important that you have a quest from both the humans and the orcs to find the part. Also, when you go to the chest you will get a message that it unlocked. You need to check the chest again for the part.

Here is a brief summary
1. Make sure you are level 150. The western cave has level entry requirement.
2. You must have the orc part quest from both the humans and orcs. You may need to do something for them before the quest is in your quest book.
3. Gather keys in West cave. Specifically for orc forge part you will need three door keys and a chest key. The keys are red, green, and bright red for the doors. All chests require a bright pink key. There are seven chests in the room so 7 bright pink keys needed so up to you if you want everything or not.
4. After getting keys go up most western path north. First door open go up to second door and open. Third room has 3 doors choose the right door only.
5.in chest room 3rd chest from the left is orc part. 5th from left is a book you need for another quest so get it also. Other chests have items. WARNING...you will have to touch orc part chest TWICE. One opens second gets part. And also sometimes an Ogre halfling spawns in chest room so be quick.
6.Portals are for exiting rooms do not try to go out by a door.

Hope that helps.

I have done this mission at level 450. It is not easy against the Ogre if you are a hand-to-hand combatant.

and it wasn't easy.

Watch out for PET !!!

Better if you don't have them.

Your best option is to make sure you have 246 DEX, enough HP (mostly from ARM) to take at least one hit, and then the rest in STR if you are low level. Assuming you have a weapon with a range of 2 you can try to hit and run. That's easier for mages and archers to some extent. One time I adjusted my stats to go toe-to-toe with the halflings which was pretty fun!

If you have pets with a ranged attack you can trap them in the entry room (do that with all pets anyhow) and then drag mobs past them so they can help out a bit. Really nice if you have fairy pets as you don't need to do as much!

Caution

When you go through the doors after collecting the keys, the animals come with you, and often other ogres are born behind the doors.
