easy fix for dark dungeons
there have been alot of "issues"/complaints about dark dungeons. how about adding torch holders along hallways and walls ? you add your torches, but cannot remove them once placed.
this could help in areas where ranged mobs are, where u grind,mine underground. also would allow for watching pets.
they would still have to burn out/disappear when you leave map. but would also need planning by player. you wouldnt want to light the whole trip youre taking, but would need perhaps 6-8 to light a room inside a dungeon. or only 4 to light a section of hallway.
this would allow for lighting areas without placing campfires that block areas where other players may need to travel.
perhaps make the process for wall torch a craft item(one stump,one iron ore). this allows placement similar to campfires. also would separate torches used for map and torches for dungeons.

+1 I like the idea. I was already close to lose my pets a few times because they ran to spawn and got out of my view.
Another option is that pets start to light up like your character itself.
Or add another hp bar per pet located under own hp shown under mini map top left of game. Red for own hp, blue for mana and green or whatever for pets.
That pet hp bar could get linked to pets so if you click on a possibly low pet hp bar it shows you the same 3 buttons like if you tapped on pet itself. It's sometimes hard to click on pet while surrounded by mobs. This way you could unwait your pet and take a run. Or you simply type /wait.

To be clear, this type of torch would be a second torch in addition to the current player torch. It is becoming less and less common to see players without mithril mining helmets, but there are some. Regular torches are still needed for low level players.
But this "wall torch" or whatever it would be called is a good idea.

Simple fix!! go back to when we could see all the time.as it adds no benefit to the game anyway except that its kinda cool.

i think it may add to certain parts of gameplay. if attacks were given animations, could you imagine the fire blasts in the "darkness". how about the "explosions" of catapults to builds during clan wars ? the darkness with other "features" could add a new dimension to the game.

I think the debate about whether we should have darkness in the first place is best left to other threads. Suggestions such as wall torches and the like are all to deal with the darkness.
