I prefer the light from the Magic Torch to the Miners Helmet.

But I guess it is a matter of "eyesight" and or choice.

And yes, I must admit, as I am sure everyone would, the Miner's Helmet is "brighter". Maybe that is why I prefer the Magic Torch. A nice subdued light and in a cave/land where there is no other light, very nice.

Walk across the snow lands (0.-2 | 1.-2) at night. Yes, I know not much help in the mines.

And reading back a few posts, I agree that pets should have a light glow to them, at least equal to that of any character in the game that has no "light enhancement" feature!

Pretty hard to protect something in the dark what we cannot see.

ill have to try the miners helm again. im getting old my eyesight just aint what it used to be.ive gotten used to the day/night even though i dont like it but would really like it to be a little brighter if at all possible.

You do not need to wear the miner¿s helmet, just have it in your pack.
Still uses a slot like the two torches, but you maintain the protection of your regular helmet.

I say that because I see a lot of people "wearing" them. Some I've mentioned it to did not know.

Maybe my saving grace is I play on a computer, not a tiny phone. And if I want can make the game 1920x1080 I normally reserve that for walking across maps.

One advantage of the magic torch over helmet is the showing of a monsters true colors. For instance with a torch it is very hard to tell what devourer is attacking or which ptery is attacking but with magic torch you can really see the difference. This probably is the same for all background as well the miners hat distorts the actual colors. But for brightness alone the miners hat is better.

Also I might add I had both in my backpack and the miners helm I assume since first in my backpack was the one that shone. At first I didn't like it after I stored the miners hat but for the reason listed above now I prefer it.

Very good point. I prefer the pale light against yellow also.

Like Gullander and Leone I to prefer the light of the magic torch. Seems more natural.

thx for the feedback i feel i like the magic torch better but i feel its range is smaller im sure its just my old man eyes. thx for the good points and suggestions. im going to carry both with for a bit a swicth them around in differant places and see what works better.
