If not, adding them to FT (or even recolored variants) is a violation of international copyright law, and FT doesn't need that.
This was my doubt, it's true and FT doesn't have to risk anything

However, I ask myself: use them as a basis to create something different .... any changes .... shouldn't they solve the problem?
If i remember copyright laws correctly (I am, in no way, a legal scholar), derivative works of copyrighted materials are still subject to copyrights, as the new materials could not exist without the existence of the originals.
