Road Speeds
In FT maps, there are many nice straight roads. But, we are the same speed whether using roads or not! Roads shkuld be faster than traveling theough snow or across grass or deserts. So, give us +1 when walking on the roads!

Oh yes, the idea makes a lot of sense.
I really like
If I think about it ... it would also be useful not to get stuck in front of a small bush less tall than the character's boot.

Of course the advantage to a road is the absence of things blocking you which in itself has value.
I think having a auto road feature would be nice, you begin on a road and it takes you to the farthest end of the road on your map without you having to push anything further. Now that is getting lazy I guess!
Old/new ideas are good as sometimes they become new additions to the game.
