Hobbs Mine Crafting

Post by justj99 »

It would be great if the forge in Hobbs Mine could be used like the blacksmith's after completing his quests.

Ciao Justj!!!

A short time ago I asked what this locksmith was for.
Not at all!!!

I too think we have many unused blacksmiths, like the one in Aeton, like in Ardesia, and like this one.

What could they do though?

Smelting new stones for other quests?
Improving equipment?
New factories that don't exist now? (example staff 200)

The first thing I would do, would be the implementation of Armor, 500, 750, 1000, 2000.
We know that blacksmithing under gardens increases pants and shields, this could improve armor.
Low percentages though (not as high as under gardens).

In short there would be so much to do, and so many ideas.
If you need ideas ask old Uncle Syor!

I think though (as already said in many posts) that these abandoned blacksmiths must have a purpose. It makes no sense to help them and then not use them.

Honestly, even just crafting ingots would be a help in the mine. There are many resources in Hobbs mine. Accessing them is both dangerous and inconvenient. It seems to me like it should be one or the other. There are safer places to mine gold, mithril, etc. If this one is dangerous (they are almost all surrounded by worms), then some convenience should be incorporated.

Players can choose: safe and slow or scary and faster.

Then again, maybe it's somewhat of a toss up as to which is more dangerous for getting platinum: the devils in one area or the ice worms in the other.

I've taken Boss Dragons to mine in the Precious Resources Area of HGM. before there were changes to the worms. With 5 or 6 trips I think I have lost 2.

And I did it the other day getting Plat as a test. It can be done if you are careful.

I like this idea. It would be a useful additional feature in the game.

A big plus from me too! ;)

I think the players who don't have houses would really appreciate more than one place to craft at or make ingots at without having to join a clan to do so. :D

There are so many additions that could be made to the game without any need for new maps or even npcs which are just waiting for a chance to do more!

Lol, true enough Leone!

I have noticed a few more in game opportunities that I think would work well. Some are bigger/longer, some are smaller/easier. I'll try to work on some details of another one or two soon.

I'm happy to contribute ideas or even some time to help if I can be of help. GMs, please let me know if there's something I can do.

I d like if that Smith could be used to craft Gear 2k instead of going to slot machine altar, that Is an item-eater that rarely gives something. A low % of success, but an opportunity to try, close to resources
Sword dislike sieging - hungrywolf
Dwarf dislike mining - tarvos
Archer dislike crafting - matcauthon
Ogre dislike fishing - heimdall
