the game features melee, ranged and mages characters. But it would be nice if there was another character class, for example, a pladin class.

The paladin is half mage and half warrior.
It would be possible for him to mana, although not as much as a magician, but it could be. And the damage is not as much as that of the warriors, but it is possible.
Special equipment for a paladin, for example, a staff with damage and mana, although not large.

An ability at level 30, for example, can be poisoned or bleeding .
At level 60, for example, walking speed +3.
At level 100, full mana or health regeneration.

Yes, the paladin will be strong in pvp with such parameters, but still try to make a balance, make a test it will give more interest to the game.

[/A Paladin is a warrior preist. Two handed swords, hammers. and cleric spells, i.e. Heal, damage sells. Probably. will not work in Forgotten Tales.i]

I'm all for new classes. I'll say that.

I think that new classes like these things would also require some big changes to existing classes. Should weapons of the same level do the same damage? Why do archers wear the same heavy armor that a swordsman does? If a paladin is basically a swordsman with magic how do you lower attack power to add magic?

I'd like to see skill trees for classes that allow you to choose how you develop. As a swordsman do you try to become:

*Paladin with lower attack, some healing magic, and you're unable to attack others?
*Berserker with lower armor, higher speed, and higher attack? Maybe some multi-attack skills as well?
*A knight that is more balanced, maybe with some shielding options?

Agreed- great idea.

Back to the original idea - I think the skills need reducing. It would be by far the most powerful class in the game.

But, as SellSword says, it's good to see new ideas. A new class has been proposed time and again, but someone may hit the jackpot one day.

I don't think new idea are ever a bad thing. People can get upset that a new class wasn't an option when they started years before but that isn't any reason to avoid adding things.

Let's see here:

new maps
new gear
new monsters
new pets
new class seem to fit right in line with things.

Do not see people complaining about new maps, gear, monsters or pets .....

so ......... new class
Hey - alts are FREE!

One could consider this option even if one has to balance others. The game has new players and not only those who have played from the very beginning. After all, we know well that the new class not just for old players.

Still, you need to try to make this class, the game will become much more interesting. You can balance the abilities.

With respect to reducing damage on this class, it already happens with mages. It's almost a waste of points to add str to a mage. If mana works the same way for paladins (and it should), then damage will be reduced by needing to add mana points. Only used one point? 50 + (1 x 2.5) for your heal spell is what you'll get.

Healing more means taking more points from somewhere else needed to apply to mana. Reduction in damage and corresponding reduction in hp too.
