Ring for better drop

Post by Draconus »

I have an idea for a non tradable ring for 1k + to raise drop rate by 0.5 percent. Make by crafting 2× excellent mithril ore 2× platinum ore and 2× sturdy petrified wood planks. Doesnt need any other stat raises or anything. Just makes super hard drops a lil easier.

Intriguing idea. Absolutely no other benefit other than increased chance on drops? This could offset the decrease in stats.

It certainly warrants further discussion.

Similar to some other "boost" items. Suggestions have been made for items to boost xp, drop rates, crafting, and various other things so maybe a few such items could be introduced together.

The question might be whether such items are wearable so you get a boost while worn or some type of potion with a limited duration. I can see benefits to both options.

With new-ish mechanics of monster types we already have different increase/decrease for damage going on. Maybe some items could work into that somehow. Get a "ring of undead" or something that ties in, or maybe a "black ring" that boosts during nighttime. I'm sure something could fit in there.

I do love the idea of rings/amulets for better bonuses against certain enemy types.

If it's a ring, can I wear one on each finger?
