Time and position counter on the mini map

Post by Death Worm »

I suggest making the server time and position(0.0.0.0) near the mini map, This will make it easier to take screenshots without using the time and position command.
Also, so that it does not interfere if you do not need it, you could turn it off in the settings.

Sometimes when you are up to your neck in mobs because "Bob", no not you Bob, another Bob, dragged a huge spawn to you and your pets you just do not have time to:
  1. tap chat button and type: /info, and
  2. get a screenshot in the few seconds that the "info" is displayed, and
  3. save yourself and/or your pets
Choices must be made: My priority is save my $$ pets! so "C" is first.
- - and that's why a lot of players that drag mobs / pet killers never get caught

So a way to permanently display /info with a lightly shaded background in small text would be nice
- with an on|off trigger of course

- maybe a circle under the + - magnifying glasses: (i) = tap on | tap off

1, Date at centred top of screen YY.MM.DD
- - - maybe 50% of chat text size and stays above chat displays and drops, so they move down a bit.
2. FT time centred at the bottom of screen HH:MM

Add a feature to "Settings" to set the time zone of the player OR allow the game permission to read the Phones date/time.
PC versions could use the date/time from the computer and convert to "Server time".

How about: "/info" does as it does now. "/info on" Turns it on wherever it will get displayed. "/info off" turns the permanent display off

Logout to change setting not needed. You have time to turn it on if you think they're coming towards you. If it turns out to be nothing, /info off and crisis averted.

An opaque back ground with game time and map then screenshot then log off.
Could take, what 30 seconds? Thats to long.

I agree with that. It puts the situation in favour of the attacker.

What we need to do is find a solution. One thing would be a default alarm button onscreen. The problem is the abuse.

The alarm button idea inspired me.

How about a Screenshot button that pops up /info and takes a screen shot too? It can be disabled in settings if the player doesn't like it there. If that can be done, then maybe a /ss command to do the same if the button isn't displayed.
