IMO - no class is perfectly balanced yet - they all need a little work here or there.
As someone in one of these relevant posts said, every class is good at some things, and bad at others...
Yes, in this way, there is a sense of asymmetrical balance - which is good, as symmetrical is boring.
The vote linked above is simply for the
mage self
heal spell.
I'd be quite happy if similar votes were to emerge for other classes.
For example:
Many think the swordsman should be able to remove the 4th skill - many agree it to be useless, except as a handicap
Many think the dwarf needs a skill rework - specifically for PvP
Archers and Ogres have a few requested changes as well.
I think every class could benefit from a little bit of work - not just a single one.
You may not be so hard on the idea of a self healing
mage, if your swordsman gets rid of the 4th skill, and an auto walk to target feature, for example.
Getting community opinions and support on these ideas is the most crucial part though.
If we all get together, and hammer it out to a comprehensive idea, our god of FT, compbatant, may consider the ideas.
Just keep in mind the goal - we don't want to make every class identical to each other; the asymmetrical balance idea is a good one, and it seems to be the idea that we should keep.
Oh, on that note.... I still think we should have an option of class evolution, where you can choose a "specialist" version of your class to suit your playstyle
