Re: The Trials and Tribulations of LostKnight
For that past few days I have had "/filter friends" turned on. I am in the process of cleaning out a bunch of stuff I have stockpiled. So going through items and if it can be bought in a shop I am selling them back to the shops or giving them away. One alt gave away half a dozen really nice items to a mage yesterday to sell, none was a magic item. FEEL good...
Going through a rough patch with the game though. Getting very tired of waiting to get level "X" that a few places tell me I need to enter. Only to find out I die "SNAP" on entering and if I RUN through to see what I can see I get to another "You need to be level Y" to pass.
So now I have to go an grind yet again to beef up my EXP to kill what should be level 600 enemies. Archers, adding their "Double Attack Speed" that can shoot, run, shoot, run, shoot, run, shoot, run or mages (Attack All) and dwarves (Fury) that can do mass killings are not so prone to this but a "blade" that must kill 1-on-1 and face-to-face but being attacked my multiple enemies are handycapped.
Had I known before I started this game, that others could "kill behind the safety of walls and doors at a distance or kill multiple enemies at the same time, I would have chosen differently I think.
However, what is done is done. "/filter friends" stays on until I get my items sorted. Then I'll follow a game plan I have come up with to help me recover a {cough cough} few billion I have lost to replacing pets. AND of course to get the ever increasing quest "fees" that are needed.
I also think it highly unfair that a level 400 quest requires level 750 items to complete. Just my opinion though, well no not just mine, I've heard the same from others. I finally got tired and asked a friend if he could help craft them - exit another billion.
Am I happy? At the moment; not so much.

Writing while on vacation still. Only sporadic phone connection here, but enough to keep up with the forum more or less... Wouldn't dream of actually trying to connect to the game itself though, so going through withdrawal!
I hear you on the "rough patch" though, LK. I hit one of those around level 200 actually. Played my old mage (about level 40) created in the early days of FT, did some quests that weren't around way back then (seemingly most), and grinded a good 20+ levels over a week or two. I think the ardesia update pulled me back in a way. Much to do then, and 250 was exciting with quest lines, even if they did take some time to complete.
Hopefully the FT doldrums are short lived!

The honeymoon period of pets has definitely gone as well. 380 to maybe 500/50 those fairies are genius. After that it takes an age to 750. I used to aim for 2 levels a day and then more at weekends.

LostWizard is NOT an alt of LK's
Saw this guy in the game today, Sunday 25 August, 2018 and want to make something absolutely clear:
He is not me nor an alt of mine! I have no idea who he is.
However: LostMind, LostCivil, LostArcher & LostArrow are.
PS: /filter friends has been reset: /filter global

No relation to the three little kittens who lost their mittens and didn't know where to find them?
I like "LostMind" though!

More like three little mittens that lost their kitten and the fourth was a glove!

Good to know, saw this one fishing in my pond, but realized it wasn't you rather quickly.
Wanted to hear it from your mouth, and here it is.
You called me strong, you called me weak
But still your secrets I will keep
You took for granted all the times I
Never let you down
You stumbled in and bumped your head, if
Not for me then you'd be dead
I picked you up and put you back
On solid ground
But still your secrets I will keep
You took for granted all the times I
Never let you down
You stumbled in and bumped your head, if
Not for me then you'd be dead
I picked you up and put you back
On solid ground

Whatever you do, don't make the forester angry....

Re: The Trials and Tribulations of LostKnight
Whoa! The forester has been practicing with that axe nonstop practically forever! In addition to having a skill level that's off the charts he's got to be deadly with that thing...
Nice pic though!
