Re: shedding skin
Even considering removing an earned skin would be an unforgivable decision. What is being proposed, from what I am reading ,is at the very leas,t socialism, communist type of ideology. This is a capitalist game. I know that is difficult for many to understand. Ive been playing this game for a long time. When I started, and for years after, there werent these problems. We knew that you had to obtain success , or contribute in some way ,or a certain level to request something special. What has happened is there are a bunch of players of new that feel they deserve something without effort or contribution. It would be a horrible thing for FT to bow down to these juvenile minded.
Re: shedding skin
I have a simple suggestion. keep the normal skins for the price you're in and add the sale of customizable skins! keeping the same skins already available but customizable.
I for one would love to be able to put on a white cloak, a bright red sword on my sword.
being able to change models of shields between the already available, to change between sword, spear. the archeoses between the arches and beasts, the magicians between a larger staff and a less.
always being able to change the color !. put special skins at $ 20 for example.
so GMs would not be overloaded, just put on the market and I'm sure everyone will love it! the black sword could put his skin all black, the white wizard all white and so on ..

Simple suggestion, but nowhere near a simple solution.cello117 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 4:14 am I have a simple suggestion. keep the normal skins for the price you're in and add the sale of customizable skins! keeping the same skins already available but customizable.

Basically, the entire game would need to be re-coded.
If you want something like that, try Omega Vanitas.

Re: shedding skin
This is the second time that I try to give an idea to contribute to the game and they have me play another game ..
I did not like your answer, I believe that I am a great client of forgoten tales and would like more respect

Re: shedding skin
I did not disrespect you.
I rather like the idea too.
But it's really impossible to do, without rewriting the entire game (I'm not joking).
As for the other game I mentioned, it is made by the same programmer - compbatant.
I don't like it myself, but it is built from scratch with things learned from FT.
I don't think you'd like it either, tbh.
Ideas are always welcome - I've submitted many over the years too - but you have to understand that there is a line between what is possible and what isn't.
Just because your idea doesn't get accepted, or isn't possible, doesn't mean it won't spark another idea that is possible.
For this custom skin colouring, the matrix idea was added by compbatant - it's how you have the skin in your avatar pic.
But if you really want a custom skin coloured like you suggest, you'd need to colour all 200+ images by hand, or make them from scratch.
Then submit it to compbatant, and hope he adds it as a new skin.
This has been covered several times on this forum already.

the only reason i posted this suggestion is because gms have a very unfair workload and players love to keep adding to that workload
madmikael already said that my original comment and suggestion would not happen so u can relax and rest easy now
everything is going to be ok

Re: shedding skin
I understood, I did not know it was so complicated. I just wanted to contribute, I just did not like the part that told me to play another game, even if it's the team. Okay, sorry about something.

Respectfully, dont flatter yourself Nahgus. My post was not directed toward you. As opposed to your post directed towards me. I am relaxed. Im just not a big whiney baby that claims things need to be changed because they are unfair. What you should be complaining about is that I have a set of balls and you dont. Thats what I think of your " take away from others because we dont all have" attitude.

Re: shedding skin
Actually, Nahgus DOES have a special skin on his main account. He would lose it if his idea were implemented, although we now know that isn't the case. Just making that point clear. I have known him for as long as I've been in FT. He DOES go off the handle from time to time (who hasn't?), but his point was more about the workload on GMs than the "whiners" that hate not having the skins they think they should.LIZARDKING wrote: ↑Fri Oct 05, 2018 5:16 am Respectfully, dont flatter yourself Nahgus. I disagree with his original point, leaning more to your side than his on it, but as was stated, it's actually a moot point. Skins were removed from those deemed "unworthy", but others were left intact. That isn't going to change, from what MadMikael hinted at.
All we can do is wait and see what happens. THEN, we can discuss the changes rationally, I would hope.

I noticed that I had a word edited in my post. My apologies to those that were offended.
