Rat tails

I've been given a quest to go retrieve one of these. I'm in the konami maze dungeon at 0, -3 and have killed dozens and dozens of them.

Either I'm just unlucky or I'm in the wrong place. Any ideas, folks?

I haven't seen or heard of any other "rat type" mobs other than those (also located east & west cave map) before. They are used in crafting too, but the items are low enough level that I wouldn't expect the mobs to be all that powerful.

Saw someone with a rat tail amulet...oh boy thats what I want around my neck....seriously though that means the drops are active.

That's good then. I've seen it in the crafting menu but not a player wearing one.

The amulet and the tail are on this list, which suggests they are available...just no location.
