I get the notification if I'm on. My email is synced. I get emails sometimes but not always.. kinda like I can tap in-game sometimes and sometimes I can't. Like in GOTH clan base, I can tap half the builds, the other half don't respond. I assume I wasn't only one with the issue, they built double craft huts because one is unusable.

I requested that my (alt) clan base got attacked and received email notification whilst not in game. Intriguing.

Like I stated, sometimes I get emails,sometimes not. It isn't always not received.
