Devil guarding Ghost of ryaca

I am a level 213 archer and I have gotten the holy water. I go into room where devil guards ghost of ryaca. I have killed ghost several times and nothing happens. He doesn't drop the key and I still have the holy water. Am I missing something or is this quest broken for me?

After killing the devil put the holy water on the altar in next room.

I am not able to get to the next room. Devil keeps coming back

I kill him and he doesn't drop key. Then I tap door and it says "how dare you challenge me. Prepare to die." Respawns. I kill him and no key. Then repeat.

So just tried the devil again..... Bam.. Its all better for me. They fixed it. So if having problem before try again.
