Do you like the Day | Night or Light | Dark feature of the game?

Why the poll .. simple:
I have friends that tell me they HATE it, it's a dumb idea that will drive people away from the game.
I have others that love it and they think it adds to the game.

I think one benefit of the day/night cycle is that it can at some point allow for some additional options.
Old soldiers never die, they just fade away.

8 for me. In certain caves it is a little bit too dark. That could be solved by candles on the wall or the rocks that glow (depending on the type of cave or dungeon).

Never thought about that aspect. But it does make sense.

I have yet to be in a "pitch black" cave. "black areas" yes. Example go mine Mith in the West Cave, no light at all down there.
There is one thing, I lost a worm trying to run from a mob of dragons under Aetor. I could not see them and a "faulty D-Pad" command that decided I needed to do the three step dance - a few times.
D-Pad is the only sure way your pets "follow" without stopping to attack - so I tapped to run and didn't have enough time to notice the (-) response.
Wish that D-Pad "three step" was fixed.

I would like to add that I am thankful for LostKnight telling me that there was a mining helmet as torches just weren't quite getting the job done.

I gave it a 7 because it'd be nice if there was consistency in the dungeons. For example, it was near pitch black in the ptery dungeon. Yet, normal brightness in the Cave Giants dungeon. Maybe the light/dark feature should adjust based on the levels below ground...1 level down is normal, 2 levels down is 50%, 3+ levels is 75% (but sporadic wall torches, in addition to what the player can craft)
also, regardless of dark conditions, portals (doors, stairs, etc) should be illuminated
