I would say so long as one keeps in mind that voicing an opinion to someone is different from forcing an opinion on them healthy discussions can ensue and differences can be respected. I certainly don't have all of the same opinions as friends or family. Nobody does. No reason that people can't disagree though.

I remember a time when voicing an opinion to a friend was never taken as an insult or offence. And often created some interesting conversations.
