I dont know if it is a new or old idea, but it comes into my mind that we should LOCK ITEMS in our BACKPACK for NO SALE in a shop or trade by accident !
Mark an Item in our inventory with a key-symbol for LOCKED and remove the key-symbol for unlocked !
That would solve many problems by accidentely lost items.
Lock a questitem per example. (they can be removed only by a quest, no different its locked or not !)
locki a pet per example. (they should only be transferable if they are locked, into the own bank/house. Than the locked-key is automatically removed in BAnk/house and need again be locked when we take them out !)
and sure many more items we not want to loose
I think this can be a nice new feauture in an upcoming update
It might be useful if unique quest items, for example Holy Water, are automatically placed into the first backpack rather than the last one as is currently the case.
By this, I mean when a player initially receives the item.
This would certainly reduce GM workload to replace lost items due to pets dying and items lost that way.
It certainly would help with the GM work of replacing items. However my experience is if I accidentally sell an item at a shop it is because I am in a hurry, it is a preventable mistake. Losing items later on we wish we had kept is part of the game, I can think of the quest at the cave giants where you need a +1 weapon. Everyone wants +2 so a +1 is sold! This is part of learning the game and making wise decisions. I'm not against the idea of locking but the first responsibility should be with the player to pay attention. If you make mistakes in a hurry then that same player will probably forget to lock it too! And yes we can now move items to the non pet part of our backpack, but again players must learn how to do that and ask themselves if it is a unique item that needs protection, again all part of an attentive play style.
You are right my old friend, but i not think at the OLD GUYS who are playing this game since year.
I try to think about making this game more +++ for new players.
I am sure this function is very helpfull for ALL.
Not only for players...but in 1st line for maybe GMs or compbatant to.
Its only myopinion, and sure everyone shuld leave an opinion here.
That why i published my idea here.
To discuss about it.
You make a very good point...making it better for new players haha so they are less likely to make the mistakes I made! I'm all for a more fun experience for all.
Very good idea I've sold pickaxes and hammers +3 by mistake many times I don't know why,
1time i mistake close to sell +4 fishing but forchonetly i see and no sell
all time at shop I'm very careful, I still mistakenly sell my stuff to the shop that i didn't want sale. for example i sell sword 200 lvl I save it for craft lvl 500 but at the home i see i didn't have and i remember i sell
mistake sell
