Leaving maps during PVP

Leaving maps during PVP
Some notorious hit n run/logging players like Fenrir or darkbow seem to b able to leave maps while being attacked. Why is it that when I have tried this I cannot do so? Is this a cheat or am I just prevented from doing so?

If it is clan pvp or if u started it u cant leav the map otherwise u can
