adding more quests for quicker levelling!

Re: adding more quests for quicker levelling!
I like that idea, that before for example fiv-ten levels a new equipment set becomes avaiable, such like level 100 level 75, level 50 level 125 and so on. and it would be rather noce to out some quest on these and a little above these levels, so the player can test his/her new equipment.
Re: adding more quests for quicker levelling!
Since I have no characters beyond lvl 80, I can't speak for where quests should be placed. But quests in general need work.
Random quests should be scattered throughout all levels and be level based. Either they shouldn't appear or appear and not activate until a certain level is reached.
But storyline quests need cleaned up. If done properly, they wouldn't need level requirements. Their inherent difficulty would be what keeps lower levels from completing them. You may know what the next step is; your quest book might be directing you to it. But you simply aren't experienced enough yet to complete the task.
Also, the quest book could use some work. More detail would be great. And there's no reason to have two entries for the same quest. Two entries telling me to find the weistein isn't necessary.
And finally, better coordination with the map is needed. There are dot indicators on the map for unecessary things. No dots for buildings you can't interact with. No dots for mushroom locations or herbs. One color dot for buildings you interact with, another color for npc's you interact with another for npc's you don't interact with.
Just my opinion.

I agree with much of what you're saying Bunzi. I would like to add that the quest book could show completed quests too.
the one thing I strongly disagree with is the level requirements on quests... in rpg this would work (and would be great there) but in mmo this simply doesn't work imo... either a super high level would escort low levels through and they would jump from level 10 to 70 or whatever, OR you would have to reduce the reward OR it would have to be scaled, making it more beneficial at later levels (and a ton of coding there too lol)

Beeware the Spiral Blitzbees...

I don't play the mmo so I certainly won't argue against your point. However, if someone had taken me through the storyline as it is now, I wouldn't be anywhere near the level I currently am. I have a lot of grinding to thank for my level, not quest rewards. And I wouldn't even be able to wear the gear I've acquired because of its own level requirement.blitzcraig wrote:the one thing I strongly disagree with is the level requirements on quests... in rpg this would work (and would be great there) but in mmo this simply doesn't work imo... either a super high level would escort low levels through and they would jump from level 10 to 70 or whatever, OR you would have to reduce the reward OR it would have to be scaled, making it more beneficial at later levels (and a ton of coding there too lol)
Not saying you're wrong, but my perspective is different because I haven't played the mmo.
