I've been grinding crocy with my alt Arozel to get speed boots for new players.
The drop rate is listed as 20%
A hundred crocy later, I have *one* repeat *one* pair.
The drop rate is listed wrong or something is broken
Cheers

Haha I deleted my previous reply, because I did not read your post correctly.Arashiko wrote:I've been grinding crocy with my alt Arozel to get speed boots for new players.

This is not a bug. The level 0 boots are unique. If you have 1 in your pack, they will never drop.
I farm them all the time with my alts.
The only way to do it is with 2 devices.
Have one kill, then trade the boots to the alt.
Rinse and repeat.
A real pain in the butt, but it works.

Re: Item drop rates
The links to the items files are here
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5848
Now, there are 4 links in that post.
The first is a pdf. I never check it, and it's likely out of date.
The second is to an items.list file, the same one as in the editor; this is the one you should check for unique items.
The third is another items file, which gives different info.
The fourth is the original post I went by in the old days, which is out of date.
Anyway, looking at items.list, whether online, or in the file in the editor, you will see the tag of unique on some items.
This means, you cannot get a drop of one if you already have one.

Re: Item drop rates
I have noticed that at certain times of the day I won't get any drops at all. I often grind in a particular spot where I fill my pack with loot to sell. I noticed that in the evening I don't get any drops from this place. Bad luck? Maybe, but the monsters drop two items and one is rare and the other is not so rare so the latter drops more frequently except in the evenings. I admit that this could be all in my head however, remember that I was the first person to notice fishing had been changed when there was not an announcement stating that it had been changed.
BOO!

Aha!! Thanks Mad!
I've learned something. I just saw the unique tag, now the penny has dropped and the
has switched on.
That means I make another alt and grind with one while the other acts as a backpack
Now I have to create a melee alt with max HP and armour. Ogre? Dwarf?

For a max Hp low level backpack build, go ogre. They gain the most Hp per level.
