Yesterday started out a sad day thinking we had lost JV.

So I decided to go mining and crafting. Got 75 Death shields and spent the day running back and forth from carbon to iron mines to make Steel Ingots to "succeed at failing" making Mystic Shields to pump up my points.

Not as good as "forest robes bit it is all free stuff and I need coin to buy gear and pets when the day comes. So with the Mystic Shiels if I 'fail at succeeding to fail' at least I get 1m in gold. Yesterday out of the 75-11 = 64 attempts I made 9 shields, so for the days work I gain 9m.

Last night I gave away 11 Death Shields (lvl8). Gave one to an ogre(7) and he was "OMG! WOW!! Thank you" not the
comment of a bad alt or spammer, so I gave have him a few Kite Shields (lvl9) that I had hauled out of storage. Told him keep one sell the others.

Then of course I heard about Jessie. Made my day!

Something else nice happened yesterday too. A while back I went to The Rock to find an ogre(5) mining it. Asked him to leave the elevator to the lower levels and I started crafting. We started chatting and he told me he had only just started this game and needed to learn the ways of it. So I asked he how he got the coin (at lvl 5) to buy a pick. "Someone gave me some money to start and I bought a pick and here I am. We chatted for about a week, he was always 'around' my house. So I showed him where the Pets Shop was, where the Bank was, told him to wait while I hunted down a pair of boots for him to walk faster. Finally I gave him a set of Tools+2. I then showed him the shortcut to castle M and the Tavern. He was asking for nothing except questions about how and what do. He was all "WOW! TY!" grateful ...

A few days ago after not seeing him in over a week, I sent a /msg asking if he was still playing, he is now ogre(11). Couple of days passed and a /msg appeared "Yes, work and Christmas interfered with the game" So I told him that I had a Christmas present for him, done before I had the commitment for an axe for someone else. A "Set of Mithril Tools" - rod, pick and axe. He showed up yesterday and we exchanged +2 for +3 tools.

You ever meet BakDor in the game tell him LostKnight says Hi!

I have tried to be myself, and you've seen the good, the bad and the ugly in this thread.
Of course that's because I'm a perfectly flawed human being.

Hiding the bad and the ugly would render the Cape Breton saying useless:

Code: Select all

Always be who you is,
Never be who you isn't.
cuz' if you is who you isn't,
you isn't who you is!
Me, I'm LostKnight, The Grey
. . . not black . . . not white . . . somewhere in between.
I'll fight for what I think is right!

That's what makes this thread great

We've all had our ups and downs

I have not been a perfect player either

But I continue to grow and learn

Just a curious question.

Anyone reading this thread that has levels higher than 1000, have you done that without "buying" or using any $REAL$ levels?

IE: Earned them the hard way!
I can't say that I didn't buy lvls . But my sword is 2300 and if you remove the lvls that I bought there is still a lot of lvls. But well. If you want up 250lvls in a month or maybe more you need to play a lot!
