Do GM have a way they can legally play the game to level up, or do they have to have a separate GM account?
I love helping players, as well as playing the game, and I do report rules violations when I see them...
The rule about grinding etc. applies to your GM account only, if you're a GM. For instance, I can't grind with my lion, MadMikael (wouldn't be a point to anyway).
You can, of course, have alts, and still play the game mostly as a normal player with them. I have several, though I don't really play.
The big exception is Staff rule 9; this is where it talks about being in a clan and such. You can't really participate in clan activities or warfare even with an alt, if you're a GM.
Hope this clarifies things

Thanks MadMikael
Is there a minimum level for a GM account?
Because I could create an alt, call it Arashikami, and level it to 50.
Is it legal to transfer gold or gear between alts?

Ok, you're getting way too concerned over small details.
A GM account doesn't need a level at all.
As far as transferring goes, yes, some of us do it; items and gold; it is allowed, with certain rules. For instance, we as GMs are not a taxi service; if you give me an item on 0.0, I can't bring it to your alt on 3.1; you have to come to me. There are other guidelines for safety reasons, like, asking the original account the name of the account to give it to.
But, if you're really interested in the GM business, I strongly advise the following:
Read my post here
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=13668
Read the entire application
Read all of the rules; all 3 sets; forum, game, and staff rules.
Then, talk to your friends in the game. Ask them what they think, and if they'd support you.
Also, try and think of good reasons why the team should choose you as a GM, over the other applicants.
Try and stand out from the crowd.

On the other hand, clans and PvP aren't my thing at all. Cooperating, hunting, building, helping and quests are.
