you are right its in the rules.

but the description of 'good standing' is very subjective while not getting it if shared is not. i see special skins on people i know to have been in jail several times. others have been muted several times.
maybe it be better if its "jailed more then x times" wont get it.

but i guess my standards are a bit high, not having been jailed or muted in 4+years of play. in my opinion thats more of a contribution to game (fair play) then buying up to lv1500.

But your answer still doesnt cover the main question.

special skins were introduced as rewards for contributions to the game.
People designing maps and quests making the game better for all.
Translaters translating it and opening complete new markets.
Bug reporters not exploiting bugs but trying to make the game more fair.

these are real contributions, much better then just being able to buy lvls.
they deserve unique skins not available to those who just buy their way up to lv 1500.

if you saw a special skin you would know its someone who realy contributed, it was indeed a badge of honour.
Now you see them on people you never heard of in game or on forum
the rule says special skin is not a buyable skin but in fact it is. you just buy levels instead of the skin directly.

ps i know its not your decision, this is more aimed at compbatant or complete team, asking to re-introduce unique rewards for the real heroes of ft:
translators, map designers, (ex) gm, people helping newbies, bug reporters, etc.
in short people who chhose to try to improve ft instead of just tgeir own accounts.

Well said - i agree with this. There are a variety of ways of helping the game.

Perhaps the GM team could have the discretion to come to a collective decision to reward certain players? Then post on here the reasons why for transparency reasons.

Idk how it'd work or actually whether this idea is just asking for trouble: for example, accusations of favouritism. If so, forget this idea and we'll come up with a better one!

one other thing about excluding shared accounts.
a side effect is that bugs are not reported because an account wil become known as shared.

i beleave this is what happened before. skins could not be bought at all then.
special skins (which are now common) were very rarily awarded. there were maybe a dozen or so. only later they could be gotten by reaching a certain level (after lvl buying was introduced)

I noticed some questions about what I meant by "new skins added", and I'll clarify. In the "New Skins Coming Soon" thread, it is stated that new color-filtered versions of existing skins contributed and then added to the game will be awarded to the contributor of the new color matrix, in much the same way old contributions gained a player a skin before purchases. However, contribution of truly new skins (with all animations) that got added would also fall under my question. I was only referring to non-level based qualifications for special skins.

I respect the GMs decision regarding their answer, and thank them for considering the issue.

Given how they answered, I am also guessing that IF a player had bought/traded to obtain an account, it would not be allowed to gain a special skin UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, including contributions to the game, such as skin matrices. Once deemed ineligible for sharing, ineligible indefinitely.
